Career Award 2011

Alexandre Relvas and Filipe de Botton distinguished with the Career Award 2011

In 2011, the Career Award was awarded to Alexandre Relvas and Filipe de Botton, both former Business Administration students between 1976 and 1981.

Since their CATÓLICA-LISBON days, the paths of Alexandre Relvas and Filipe de Botton have crossed through the undertaking of joint projects. For example, between 1985 and 1990 they were founding shareholders of Interfinança - Sociedade Gestora de Patrimónios, which was later integrated into the BCP Group. However, it was the extraordinary and very successful co-leadership of Logoplaste that made their names stand out and through which they have become inseparable.

Given their journey together, the panel responsible for the Career Award, chaired by Manuela Ferreira Leite, chose to distinguish these two former students of CATÓLICA-LISBON simultaneously.

The profiles of Alexandre Relvas and Filipe de Botton were presented by panel members Pinto Balsemão and Manuel Ferreira De Oliveira respectively.

The Career Award 2011 ceremony took place on the 21st July, as a part of the CATÓLICA-LISBON Day celebrations. During the event, Dr. Vítor Bento, the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIBS, gave a brief talk on the topic of "Unlocking the potential of a dependent society".

The ceremony ended with a cocktail party in the lobby of the Cardeal Medeiros auditorium, where everyone had the opportunity to congratulate the winners on their success and celebrate the moment.
