By Partner Schools, we mean universities and schools, which have celebrated an exchange agreement with CATÓLICA-LISBON that is still in force at the time of the application.
For admitted candidates, full payment of the program fee must be made upon registration.
The payment is made via bank transfer; any bank charges or commissions must be paid by the program participant.
Program fees include:
- Tuition fees for one 6 ECTS course or two 3 ECTS courses
- Accommodation for 2 weeks in a high standard apartment (min. 15m²) with private bathroom and kitchenette in a student residence located in the heart of Lisbon (*)
- Lisbon city tour
- Beach & Surf Experience
- Company visit
- Canteen Lunch Vouchers for 10 working days
- Farewell dinner in a typical Portuguese restaurant (all included, except aperitifs and digestifs)
- Certificate of Completion, issued by CATÓLICA-LISBON (delivery subject to minimum class attendance of 80%)
- Official Transcript of Records & Syllabus Authentication, issued by our University’s Registrar’s Office
(*) applicable only if you selected the accommodation-included option
All other expenses and fees, including optional activities available upon arrival, are the sole responsibility of the participants.
All fees associated to the Summer Academy programs are non-refundable under any circumstances, except if the program you were admitted to and enrolled in happens not to be offered for a lack of participants (the minimum number of participants for a program to open is 15).
It is participants’ sole responsibility to apply for and obtain their visa (if applicable) in a timely manner. Rejection of visa application or late visa delivery are not eligible for refund.
Due to the very limited amount of slots available (maximum 36 per Summer Academy), any withdrawal from the program means that a slot is lost and prevents another participant from joining the program.

As CATÓLICA-LISBON Summer Academy programs are short-term programs, participants may apply for a Schengen Visa, i.e., a short-stay visa that allows a person to travel to any members of the Schengen Area, per stays up to 90 days for tourism or study purposes.
The Schengen Visa is the most common visa for Europe. It enables its holder to enter, freely travel within, and leave the Schengen zone from any of the Schengen member countries. There are no border controls within the Schengen Zone.

Please note that it is participants’ sole responsibility to find out if they need or not a visa and to apply for and obtain the right visa (if applicable) in a timely manner. Rejection of visa application or late visa delivery are not eligible for refund.
Each participant must have a personal accident and health insurance, including international emergency medical services.
We highly recommend that you also contract a travel insurance.
Please make sure that you bring your insurance policy papers with you and that you send us by e-mail a scanned copy of these documents before your arrival.
