David L. Patient

Professor Associado (Visitante)

David Patient é Professor na área de People & Organizations da Vlerick Business School na Bélgica desde 2020, e Professor Visitante na CATÓLICA-LISBON. 

David tem uma Licenciatura em Direito da University College London, e um MBA e PhD da Saunder School of Business na University of British Columbia. A investigação de David, que se foca na comunicação eficiente em gestão e na motivação dos trabalhores, já foi publicada em revistas científicas de topo, incluindo o Journal of Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Studies, e no Journal of Organizational Behavior.

Entre 2006 e 2019, David foi Professor de Comportamento Organizacional na CATÓLICA-LISBON, onde os seus papéis incluíam Diretor do CUBE - Unidade de Investigação em Economia e Gestão da CATÓLICA-LISBON, e Diretor Académico de vários programas, incluindo o Mestrado em Psicologia em Economia e Gestão, o Executive Master em Gestão com especialização em desenvolvimento de liderança, e o Lisbon MBA. David desenhou, coordenou e ensinou em vários programas abertos para executivos e programas customizados, incluindo para clientes internacionais como a WebSummit e a Sands China Casinos. 

Entre 2016 e 2019, David cumpriu um mandato de três anos enquanto membro do Conselho de Governadores da Academy of Management, de 20 mil membros, a principal organização internacional para o estudo da gestão.
