Double Degree - Grenoble Ecole de Management

A single Undergraduate Program, 2 Bachelor Degrees from Top European Business Schools.

What is a Double Degree

To enrich your international experience, you can choose to complete a Double Degree with one of the Top European Business schools in France: Grenoble Ecole de Management.

Double Degree students will spend the first two years at CATÓLICA-LISBON, followed by one year at Grenoble Ecole de Management.

 

Obtained Diplomas and Degrees

At the end of the Program, graduates will be granted two diplomas:

  • International Undergraduate Program in Business Admistration or Economics & Finance from CATÓLICA-LISBON;
  • Bachelor in International Business from Grenoble Ecole de Management.

Applications for the Double Degrees take place during the International Undergraduate Program.

Admissions to Double Degree programs are subject to a competitive selection process, due to the limited number of slots.

 

Application dates

Applications to the Double Degree programs will occur during the month of November of the 2nd academic year. Exact dates shall be released in due time by the International Relations Office.

 

Application requirement

In order to be able to apply for the Double Degree program with Grenoble Ecole de Management, you must:

  • have a minimum GPA of 13.35/20 and must have completed a minimum of 50 ECTS of coursework at the time of the application, that is, at the end of the first 2 semesters at CATÓLICA-LISBON (students are also expected to maintain a GPA equal or superior to 13.35/20 at the end of the first two years);
  • submit an updated Curriculum Vitae and Personal Statement (such documents might be shared with our partner school).

 

Exit requirement

In order to graduate from the International Undergraduate Program of CATÓLICA-LISBON, students must have completed a minimum of 92 ECTS of coursework along their 2 years at CATÓLICA-LISBON.

In order to graduate from the Bachelor in International Business of Grenoble Ecole de Management, it is mandatory for students:

  • to have completed a minimum of 60 ECTS at Grenoble Ecole de Management;
  • to make proof of a 5-month (or 21 weeks) full-time work experience/internship.

 

There are 2 different ways to fulfill this requirement:

  • Several successive internships totaling 21 weeks in the first two years at CATÓLICA-LISBON and immediately after the teaching period at Grenoble Ecole de Management (at the end of April). For instance, 6-week internship between the 1st and the 2nd year + 6-week internship between the 2nd and the 3rd year + 9-week internship (in France or abroad; it could be in Portugal) immediately after the teaching period at Grenoble Ecole de Management (at the end of April) = 21 weeks in total (in that case, students would graduate from Grenoble Ecole de Management in July);
  • One 21-week-internship after the end of the second semester at Grenoble Ecole de Management, between May and October (in that case, students would graduate from Grenoble Ecole de Management only in November, thanks to an extraordinary jury held in Grenoble, or in July of the year after).

Regardless of the configuration selected, students will have to present official internship certificate(s) issued by companies and duly confirmed by the Careers & Talent Office of CATÓLICA-LISBON.

 

Cost of the Double Degree Program with Grenoble Ecole de Management

During the entire duration and until completion of the Double Degree program, students pay the tuition fees and annual enrollment fees at CATÓLICA-LISBON, according to the official Tuition Fee List of Universidade Católica Portuguesa at the time of the program.

Travel & health insurance expenses, passport and visa expenses (if applicable), accommodation and cost of living expenses, books, etc. are the sole responsibility of the students.

In the event of withdrawal from the Double Degree program (after application deadline), the corresponding €2.000 penalty fee will apply, as per the official Tuition Fee List of Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

 

ERASMUS+ Scholarships

Double Degree students may apply for an Erasmus+ scholarship for the French part of their program.
