The Management and Leadership for Ecclesial Leaders program is a joint initiative of the Rectory of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics and aims to develop management and leadership practices in the organisations under the responsibility of the catholic church.

This program, applied to product and luxury services management, constitutes a pioneering decision in Portugal which responds to the needs of those who intend to add more value to their brands and projects in the different sectors of activity in which they operate.
Tourism is one of the major economic activities on a global scale. Portugal is on the top 20 with the most competitive tourist destinations in the world, and it is in this area that the country holds the main export economic activity. Sustainability, competitiveness, effectiveness and efficiency of companies and tourism organizations depend, largely, on the qualifications and competences of its human resources.
In May 2018, with the enforcement of the General Regulation on Data Protection (GRDP) in the EU, privacy and data protection issues have become a crucial and fundamental element of the organizations and trade relations procedures’. A mixture of recognition and concern about the personal data real value, associated with very high fines, has led many organizations to initiate projects to ensure compliance with the GRDP and, where necessary, to appoint Data Privacy Officers (DPOs).
The amount of data available reached incalculable dimensions with the advancement of the information systems, so it is vital their treatment and analysis to support companies strategic decisions.
This program aims to provide analytics professionals a deeper view and understanding of the concepts and methodologies used in scientific research over large datasets that can be applied and implemented in industry contexts, with direct impact on firms’ performance.
Along with this expertise it is becoming equally necessary the ability to innovate through new creative approaches in order to improve patients results, access to healthcare and cost management strategies.
