Professional Student Clubs are a vital part of the academic experience provided by Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. Groups of students create Clubs within their areas of interest with the purpose of organizing events or activities that foster networking and contact between the CATÓLICA-LISBON students and the business world. The Clubs are responsible for arranging an array of events such as workshops and conferences with well-known speakers and open days at several companies. The Clubs are supported by the Career Development Office and may also collaborate with school departments on specific projects.
Goals of the Professional Clubs
- To represent the School in all interactions with companies, alumni and other institutions;
- To organize career-oriented activities and events in a professional environment for recruitment, learning or networking purposes;
- To provide CATÓLICA-LISBON students with the opportunity to enroll in several activities broken down into their individual areas of interest (e.g. marketing, finance, economics, etc).

The Lisbon branch of 180 Degrees Consulting wants to bring top university talent to non-profit organisations, transforming good organizations into great ones via high-quality and uniquely affordable consulting services. Through the recruitment of student consultants with different backgrounds, nationalities and study paths we aim at creating teams that are tailored for our projects.
180 Degrees consultants receive training from professional consultants and field experts through several workshops. Based on their competencies, consultants are assigned to a project together with other 180 Degrees consultants. In collaboration with the client and with the support of a team leader, they apply their skills to find solutions for their clients’ challenges. Once the project is finished, the teams share the positive impact created with their client.
