The PhD in Finance at CATÓLICA-LISBON is a full-time program designed for ambitious students aiming to advance research, excel in academia, or take on leadership roles in financial institutions, government, and business. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to address contemporary finance challenges through rigorous research and informed decision-making.
Combining a robust academic foundation with practical research opportunities, the program prepares students to contribute meaningfully to the financial sector and to shape financial policies and practices.
The program is structured to:
> Provide students with a solid academic foundation in business administration.
> Immerse students in an international research environment that encourages academic excellence and ambition.
> Train students to develop state-of-the-art research, publish in top-tier academic journals, and present their work at prestigious international conferences.
> Provide students with the opportunity to spend one semester at a top-tier business school in the US or Europe.
This PhD is delivered in partnership with NOVA School of Business and Economics (NOVASBE). As part of the programme structure, students will attend modules at both Católica-Lisbon and NOVASBE.
