Susana Costa e Silva is an associate professor (with a habilitation in Marketing) at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Católica Porto Business School (CPBS), where she is also a researcher at the Research Centre in Management and Economics. Susana is also Case Pool Coordinator at the Learn & Share Program of Católica International Business Platform.

Additionally, Susana serves as a visiting professor at the University of Saint Joseph in Macao, China.

She earned her PhD in Marketing from University College Dublin in Ireland. Her research interests include her research interests include international marketing, the internationalization process, international alliances and IJVs. Furthermore, marketing and digital transformation, artificial intelligence applied to marketing, consumer behavior in the digital era, retailing and omnichannel.

Her significant contributions have been published in journals such as International Business Review, International Marketing Review, Thunderbird International Business Review, European Journal of International Management, Journal of Business Research, and Psychology & Marketing, among others.

Susana represents Portugal at the European Marketing Academy (second mandate) and previously served as a board member and national representative at the European International Business Academy (also for two mandates).

She has impacted her field with over 85 peer-reviewed indexed articles, eleven books, 17 book chapters, 7 working papers, 18 case studies and 117 conference papers presented. Susana supervised around 150 theses in Portugal and abroad. She is currently on the board of 2 indexed journals.

As for societal impact, she wrote 153 opinion articles and appeared on TV and radio.

Susana has extensive teaching experience at several universities in China, Brazil, and India. She is since 2007 the director of the MSc programs in Marketing and in Management at CPBS. Before entering the academic world, Susana collaborated with Jerónimo Martins, SGPS, and AICEP.

Additionally, she works as an international marketing and market research consultant, having participated in more than twenty consultancy projects.
