Mónica has a Master's degree in Luxury Management, Fashion, and Art from Sorbonne University (Paris) and a bachelor's degree in Business Communication from ISCEM, Lisbon. She began her career in the press department of the haute couture house Guy Laroche in Paris and then held various roles in communication and marketing at the L'Oréal Group. She served as Marketing Director for the Japanese brand Shiseido in Portugal and as a consultant for the Iberian market. Additionally, she held the position of Marketing Director for the French Cosmetics and Perfumery Group Clarins, respectively in Spain and Portugal. Founder of Affluencial, a platform dedicated to consulting and training in the luxury management field. She directed the Executive Program "Luxury Brand Management" in Miami in partnership with the Institut Supérieur de Marketing du Luxe in Paris. She curated international experiences for "Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs" in Dubai, Portugal, and Italy. Since 2011, she has been the Director of the Luxury Management Program at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics and is a lecturer at the university in the areas of Service Excellence and Customer Experience. She is also responsible for various articles on the luxury theme, a guest speaker at national and international events, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Portuguese Association of Brands of Excellence | Laurel.
