The Center for Responsible Business & Leadership (CRB) is a strategic arm of CATÓLICA-LISBON’s ambition to be a catalyst for IMPACT creation, knowledge and innovation promotion. Responsible Business (RB) is becoming an essential part of corporate strategies and the CRB aspires to develop critical knowledge among students and executives to face these new trends as opportunities. The CRB’s aim is to contribute to CATÓLICA-LISBON’s mission to be a top business school and create a position of intellectual leadership, while finding the right answers for the world toughest challenges.
Researchers in the Ethics & Social Enterprise have devoted their work to the generation and advancement of knowledge in their fields. In order to better organize their goals and impact, they have created Knowledge Centers dedicated to specific goals.
The Chair in Social Innovation was created at the end of 2016. It is a home for research focused on the challenges of growth of impact projects and innovation in financing models, and creating scientific and practical bases for a model of capitalism that promotes social impact and inclusion. Filipe Santos, Dean of CATÓLICA-LISBON, is the founder and head of the Chair.
The Center for Ethics, Business and Economics (CEBE) was founded in 2007 with the mission to undertake "research, educational and editorial initiatives related to business and information ethics and corporate social responsibility". The Professors Tommaso Ramus and João César das Neves are the Executive Director and the Director of the Research of the Center respectively.
