A good thesis poses an interesting and specific question and requires a complete answer, based on a good structure, and duly framed in the state-of-the-art of the respective area. The MSc in Applied Management associates scientific rigor with research methodology, the ability to develop relevant academic work and to contribute to the creation of knowledge.
In this context, in the Research Methods courses, students must develop applied work, with real data, collected autonomously and outside class hours, at an estimated rate of 5 hours of work for each hour of class time. According to the records known and practiced at CATÓLICA-LISBON, the master's thesis will require more than 10 hours of work per week over eight months.
The thesis project will be accompanied by a supervisor, normally a member of the CATÓLICA-LISBON faculty. The process concludes with the presentation and public discussion of the master's thesis.
