ISQ Academy, in collaboration with Universidade Católica Portuguesa, has launched the asynchronous online course “Introduction to Sustainability in Business - Financial Perspective”, a program that aims to train professionals and organizations in the challenges and opportunities of an increasingly sustainable economy.

Developed by the Center for Sustainable Finance (CSF) at Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, in partnership with Católica Porto Business School and the Santander Foundation, the course covers essential topics such as ESG, dual materiality, sustainability finance and the latest European regulatory trends.

With an estimated duration of two hours, in an online and asynchronous format, the training was designed to allow flexible learning, responding to the demands of managers, leaders and employees who want to integrate sustainability into the business and financial strategy of their organizations.

“This course is a crucial starting point for professionals from all sectors, with no previous experience necessary, who want to align themselves with the new sustainability challenges and the ESG agenda, from a practical and up-to-date perspective,” stresses the ISQ Academy team. The course will be taught by ISQ Academy from September 23rd.

Between the modules, participants will explore topics such as: the transition to sustainability, including the challenges and opportunities of ESG integration in companies; climate change, the energy transition and human rights in the business context; and sustainable finance, including the European taxonomy, the CSRD and the role of financial agents in sustainable investment.

This initiative is part of the joint mission of the ISQ Academy and the Portuguese Catholic University to contribute to the training and transformation of Portuguese organizations in the face of the climate transition and the demands of the green economy.
