Startup Lisboa signs partnership with CATÓLICA-LISBON’s Center for Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship

CATÓLICA-LISBON's Center for Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CTIE) and Startup Lisboa signed a partnership this Thursday establishing a cooperation commitment through privileged relationships, and diverse dynamic initiatives, bridging the startups with the academic world.

"We recognize in CATÓLICA-LISBON a partner of reference and excellence," said Miguel Fontes (CEO of Startup Lisboa) who believes that the partnership will facilitate the participation of CATÓLICA-LISBON’s students in events, workshops and internship programs related to the world of startups.

CATÓLICA-LISBON thus undertakes to promote the exchange of students for curricular internships at Startup Lisboa, in order to have contact with the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

"CATÓLICA-LISBON aims to associate with the best and this is the natural partner in the area of ​​innovation and entrepreneurship," said Nuno Fernandes, Dean of CATÓLICA-LISBON, who was enthusiastic about the new partnership.

Also, Céline Abecassis-Moedas, founder and academic director of CTIE, understands that Startup Lisboa is an obvious partner "As an incubator of reference since 2012, located in the heart of Lisbon".

Through this partnership, the CTIE reinforces, its long-term capabilities in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship by getting closer to the ecosystem and becoming a preferential facilitator with skills in the pre-acceleration of future startups.
