The Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics has once again been internationally recognized for the impact of its scientific research. Professors Filipe Santos, Dean of CATÓLICA-LISBON and Professor of Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation, and Ilídio Barreto, Professor of Strategy, were highlighted in the 2025 edition of the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” ranking, compiled by Stanford University (USA) in collaboration with the Elsevier publishing group.
This ranking distinguishes the top 2% most influential researchers worldwide, assessing over 230,000 active scientists across 22 fields and 174 subfields of knowledge, based on rigorous bibliometric indicators, including total number of citations, h-index, career impact, and annual impact.
Professor Filipe Santos is recognized for his international contributions in the areas of entrepreneurship and social innovation, with more than 15,700 citations on Google Scholar. Professor Ilídio Barreto, whose research focuses on strategy and creativity, has accumulated over 4,400 citations, consolidating his standing among leading global academics in these fields.
Their presence in this ranking reinforces the excellence of research carried out at CATÓLICA-LISBON, projecting the school and its scholars onto the global scientific stage.
