PAGE | Reasons behind the demand of the most recognized Executive Program in Portugal

Monday, May 2, 2016 - 10:41

It starts on May,13th the Advanced Management Program for Executives, whose applications are currently taking place.

The excellence of the faculty, the accuracy of subjects covered and the contemporaneity of the programmatic content with a duration of nearly 200 hours, make the Advanced Management Program for Executives (PAGE), the most popular program recognized in Portugal.

Evidence of this is the fact that PAGE is now in its 67th edition, which confirms the solidity, the constant updating of content, the academic and professional experience of teachers and the continued interest of the participants.

In fact, several broad areas of PAGE prove how modern businesses require increasingly complex management. In many cases, the professionals seek to deepen management knowledge that was left outside the scope of their basic training "such as the management of human resources, that (...) is becoming essential to the performance of the professional activity“ says Sandra Henriques, currently Commercial Director at Express & Parcels segment Rangel Group, and former student of PAGE.  Also Jorge Alcobia, Director of Bank Segment Coordination Santander Totta reinforces the importance of PAGE content scope, to the extent that "the issues feed the interest in deepening some aspects of management" and range from the area "financial, economic, competition, management, leadership, among others", revealing it’s strategic and importance to a professional who wishes to "open horizons and be able to make decisions more rational and conscious", says João Matos, Purchasing Manager of TAP and former student of PAGE.

The program actually has a very participative component, including a management simulator and a folllow-up session. These differentiating elements of PAGE "allow participants to reflect and share experiences, after having experienced the use of the acquired knowledge in a practical case", says Luís Cardoso, PAGE Coordinator and Director of CATÓLICA-LISBON | Executive Education. This program works as a privileged space for the exchange of experiences.

Indeed, the "proximity, cooperation and networking fostered among all participants" are important factors for PAGE participants says Nuno Martins de Freitas, Principal of Boyden Global Executive Search. In addition to the carefully designed program, the diversity of professionals that make up each edition of this program allows a place for sharing "experiences of the various activity sectors, enriching and enhancing this already so prestigious program of CATÓLICA-LISBON", says Victor Rezendes, Manager and Director of Agraçor Production, SA and former student of PAGE.

Still, PAGE has proven to be more than a program for updating and deepening management knowledge. More and more participants seek this program as a way to improve their individual performance in a professional context, notably through the "participation in future projects and challenges throughout their careers" as mentions Nuno Martins de Freitas, or the possibility to ensure" a career boost, especially for international functions" says Nuno Miguel Teixeira, Brand Manager of MontBlanc Portugal, or even work as "an incentive to change company, seeking broader challenges" says Sandra Henriques.
