On May 19th, CATÓLICA-LISBON and Associação Avenida signed a collaboration protocol aimed at offering executive education to the Association’s members. This partnership will facilitate access to open-enrolment programs from CATÓLICA-LISBON’s Executive Education division.
Representing a dynamic business network of 140 members, Associação Avenida plays a key role in the economic and urban vitality of its area. According to Inês Ortigão, Executive Director of Associação Avenida, this collaboration comes at a timely moment to reinforce one of the Association’s strategic priorities: “We chose CATÓLICA-LISBON because it is, quite naturally, a leading institution in higher education in Portugal. Associação Avenida has been growing and consolidating its presence across several fronts, from social impact to international projection, as well as urban renewal and the cultural revitalisation of the Avenida area. This year, we have added a new objective: to help promote training opportunities for the teams of our members. We clearly recognise that, whether in hospitality, restaurants, or services in general, investing in people’s education is absolutely essential.”
Through this new partnership, CATÓLICA-LISBON reaffirms its commitment to strengthening strategic skills within organisations, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and preparing leaders who are ready to face today’s market challenges.
For Nuno Moreira da Cruz, Dean of Executive Education at CATÓLICA-LISBON, the partnership reflects the school’s mission to stay connected with key players in society: “CATÓLICA-LISBON aims to stay close to those on the ground, creating value. This partnership is a two-way street: from the Association’s side, through its engagement in society; and from our side, through our ability to look at this ecosystem, understand where we can improve, and adapt our programmes to real-world needs. These collaborations create healthy pressure, they challenge us to deliver training with real impact, aligned with what the market is truly looking for. And that starts within organisations. We are here to respond with quality.”
CATÓLICA-LISBON was ranked 27th in Europe in the Financial Times Executive Education 2024 ranking, and is internationally recognised for the quality and innovation of its programmes. The school has maintained a consistent presence in this prestigious ranking for 17 consecutive years, showing steady and positive progress.
