The International MSc in Management is one of the best Masters in the world. It is a highly selective program with a strong international scope that offers you a high quality graduate education in Business.
This program offers a balanced perspective on business as well as the possibility to choose one of four majors available:
- Corporate Finance;
- Entrepreneurship & Innovation;
- Marketing;
- Strategy & Consulting.
The program is designed to provide you with the relevant practical and academic knowledge required for an international career: it combines deep analytical skills with applied learning, project and case based. You will enrich your understanding of global business challenges in the mandatory block of International Management courses.
International MSc in Management students are encouraged to fulfill an international experience during the program. You can opt for a Double Degree or spend a semester abroad at one of the top business schools we partner with.

The foundation courses are designed to consolidate your integrated view of the firm and the business environment. Some courses will be waived, depending on your background.
Additional courses in your Major are designed to provide advanced skills and prepare you for a career in a specific area of choice: Corporate Finance, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Marketing, or Strategy & Consulting. A range of major courses, both mandatory and elective, allows you to build a differentiated and multi-faceted professional profile to succeed globally.
The international courses are designed to strengthen your international perspective on management and prepare you to work in diverse, multicultural business environments.
You may take free elective courses outside of your program to complement your area of expertise, or simply explore a topic that interests you.
Career Accelerator Lab is designed to help students in CATÓLICA-LISBON’s Master programs to develop skills that are important for working with and managing people, as well as for approaching the job market, and therefore for lifelong employability and growth.
As this program is specifically designed to prepare students for an international career all students are required to spend part of their program abroad. You can fulfill this requirement through a Double Degree, a semester abroad or an international internship (6 weeks minimum) either during or before starting the MSc program, in a country other than Portugal or your home country. A Double Degree or an exchange adds a 4th semester to the duration of your program.
Professional Internship (mandatory): non-credit granting company internship with a minimum duration of 6 weeks. Prior professional experience can be used to satisfy this requirement (subject to validation by the Careers & Talent Office), if completed after June 1 of the year prior to beginning of the MSc program.
By the time of completion of the MSc degree, you must show evidence of proficiency in 3rd language other than English and your native language. You will have a selection of foreign language courses during your program.
Thesis Project
The Master thesis is the culmination of your master program. This is when you build on the knowledge and skills acquired during the program to develop an individual project on topic that resonates with your career aspirations and helps you excel in an area you find professionally relevant.
The thesis project involves a research methodologies workshop, designed to provide you with advice, resources and useful tools to plan the research for your thesis, and write a dissertation.

Admissions requirements
Business or Economics graduates with a high academic standing who seek to strengthen their knowledge in management and prepare for top international careers.
Recent graduates with less than 2 years professional experience.
International experience (exchange, summer school or internship abroad).
Foreign languages and extracurricular activities are highly valued by the Admissions Jury.
Double Degree: your passport for an international career
Spend one year at CATÓLICA-LISBON followed by a second year at the partner school of your choice, and get two diplomas.
Double Degree programs offer you the opportunity to gain a deep international experience and to challenge yourself by experiencing two distinctive academic cultures and approaches.
At the end of the program, you will be granted two diplomas – one from CATÓLICA-LISBON and one from our partner school.

CATÓLICA Top+ is a scholarship program meant for students with an outstanding academic record.
Implemented by CATÓLICA-LISBON, this program allows high-potential students to complete their MSc with a partial waiver of tuition fees for the regular track of the program (3 semesters at our School; exchange semester excluded).
We encourage outstanding students to apply for this scholarship in your MSc application. This is the only way to apply for our scholarship.
Note: Double Degree and Joint Degree students can only be granted a scholarship in the 1st year.

Pursuing our International MSc in Management, you will also have the opportunity to do a study trip. Study trips are great opportunities to learn about new industries, locations, and roles.
In 2019, students were able to get to know the most fascinating companies and their culture, mission as well as available opportunities. The agenda of the study trip to Dublin 2019 included visits to Google, Amazon, Oracle, HubSpot, and other companies. The students took advantage of this unique occasion to explore exciting opportunities in Ireland together with the students from various programs and meet the alumni working in Dublin. Regarding Madrid, students were able to know in more detail the finance and consulting world, and the agenda included visits to finance companies such as Citi, Blackrock, JP Morgan, and strategy consulting firms such as Bain&Co and Oliver Wyman. The students also explored the possibilities of finance roles at FMCG companies as ABInBev and enjoyed meeting the alumni working in Madrid.
