Double Degree - Grenoble Ecole de Management
Upon completing this program, you will receive two diplomas:
- CATÓLICA-LISBON’s International Undergraduate Program in Business Administration or Economics & Finance;
- Grenoble Ecole de Management’s Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
The program consists of two years at CATÓLICA-LISBON, followed by two years at Grenoble Ecole de Management. During their time in Grenoble, students will be able to complete a Major. Additionally, students are expected to complete a total of 12 months of work experience until graduation.
Students are eligible to graduate once they have met all their study plan requirements, which include earning 120 ECTS at CATÓLICA-LISBON and a minimum of 60 ECTS per academic year at the Partner School, as well as the completion of all mandatory courses in their program and the validation of the required ECTS through the Learn in Action Program (3 ECTS).
- The Double Degree Program with Grenoble Ecole de Management implies a strong component of professional experience. Students must have completed a minimum of 8 weeks (2 months) of internship/professional experience before starting the program in Grenoble and a 6-month work experience/internship in the last semester of Year 4.
- A limited number of weeks of volunteering/bartending work can be considered for this requirement. A minimum number of weeks must be spent in a real business environment (a company).
- CATÓLICA-LISBON’s Careers & Talent Office can support you in your internship search and help you prepare for the recruitment processes, through a dedicated career consultant and the careerNETwork recruitment platform. Students will also benefit from career services at Grenoble Ecole de Management.
- Internships can be completed in Portugal, France, or any other country, as long as students present official internship certificates.
Double Degree - University of San Diego
CATÓLICA-LISBON offers you the possibility of pursuing a Double Degree with the reputable University of San Diego, in California, United States. Upon completing this program, you will receive two diplomas:
- CATÓLICA-LISBON’s International Undergraduate Program in Business Administration or Economics & Finance;
- University of San Diego’s Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
The program consists of two years at CATÓLICA-LISBON, followed by two years at the University of San Diego. During their time in USD, students will be able to complete a Major.

Students are eligible to graduate once they have met all their study plan requirements, which include earning 120 ECTS at CATÓLICA-LISBON and a minimum of 60 ECTS per academic year at the Partner School, as well as the completion of all mandatory courses in their program and the validation of the required ECTS through the Learn in Action Program (3 ECTS).
While at the University of San Diego, students will have to settle a university fee per semester (currently US $533 and updated on a yearly basis).

What is the International Tri-School Exchange?
For an even more enriching international experience in the International Bachelor’s Degree at CATÓLICA-LISBON, students may opt for an International Tri-School Exchange, which allows them to attend two highly prestigious business schools, as well as Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon. The first two years of the bachelor’s degree course are in CATÓLICA-LISBON and the last two semesters are in two partner schools.
Students will receive a diploma at the end of the course:
International Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Economics from CATÓLICA-LISBON. The final certificate will include the two exchange semesters and the names of the schools.
Eligiblity Requirements
- All students from the International Undergraduate Programs who simultaneously satisfy the following required conditions can apply for the TRI-School Program 2025/2026:
- Did not participate in any international mobility program during their current Undergraduate Program;
- Have a minimum Mobility Allocation Score (MAS) of 13 (without approximations).
Applications
There is only one application period for the TRI-School Program, usually in February of the 2nd year of Undergraduate studies. Each student applies individually to the TRI-School Program through the Application Form provided by the International Office during the application days only. Students can apply to more than one track of the TRI-School Program and must list the pre-established tracks by order of preference
Selection Criteria
- The selection criteria for allocation purposes within the TRI-School Program is the Mobility Allocation Score (MAS), which considers two important components of your academic journey – the academic average at the time of application and the progression of your study plan (∑ ECTS completed courses /Total study plan ECTS).
- Students will be allocated according to the designated selection criteria and should be aware that they may not be assigned to their first choice; therefore, they will be automatically allocated to the subsequent choice with slots available according to their pre-established order of preferences
During the period at the Host University, all students must settle the annual enrolment and monthly tuition fees
Traveling expenses, health insurance, passports, visas, accommodation, books and living expenses are the sole responsibility of the student.
Dropping out of the program after the end of the application deadlines will imply a fine, in accordance with the official list of fees at Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Students going to Erasmus+ destinations – QUT (Australia), BI Norwegian Business School (Norway), HEC Montréal (Canada) and Maastricht University (The Netherlands) – are eligible to apply for an Erasmus+ scholarship for that semester.
