Program Description

The development of recent years has allowed the creation of technology-based financial companies (Fintechs) each focused on a specific area of the various banking businesses and a more intensive customer approach that are challenging the traditional way the banking business has been presented.

The fast technological transformation that the financial sector has undergone in recent years, especially with the advent of the Smartphone which has become the customer's preferred buying and advising channel, has created new business models, based on a strong trend towards disintermediation and the provision of services, at a very low marginal cost, to which banks, because of their heavy physical, human and technological structures, as well as the fear of cannibalization, find it difficult to monitor.

This adaptation to the new trends in the financial sector is essential for banking institutions to survive in the new disruptive environment as well as for Consumers, Enterprises and Entrepreneurs, to make the most of these trends.

The purpose of this program is to train the Banking Boards, Financial Managers, Consultants and Entrepreneurs about the latest trends in Fintech, the best international practices and reveal examples of what is best done in Portugal, with the participation of guest speakers from the main national Fintechs.
