The European Union has been highly active in regulating the digital domain, following the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) established in 2016. In recent years, regulations have been passed regarding Digital Services (DSA), Digital Markets (DMA), Data (Data Governance Act, Data Act), Cybersecurity (NIS2, DORA), among others. A new impactful regulation has just been published: the Artificial Intelligence Regulation (AI Act).
