The Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, in collaboration with the Carnegie Mellon University, Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST-UL) and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL) offers a leading edge doctoral program in Technological Change and Entrepreneurship (TCE).
This interdisciplinary program is open to participants from a variety of disciplines, including business, engineering, medicine, economics, science and other social sciences.
The PhD in TCE provides students with substantive skills for academic research and for high level business/corporate strategy and public policy formulation in the areas of innovation (including health), technological change and entrepreneurship and management of information systems. The program has already placed its graduates as faculty members at leading universities and research centers worldwide. Most choose to remain in academic settings, but the flexibility of the program permits placement in industry and government as well.
This program presents an exceptional opportunity to prospective students since very few structured doctoral research programs are multidisciplinary and dedicated to technology, health and entrepreneurship. The Carnegie Mellon TCE doctoral program provides an excellent model and unique opportunity for what could be a leading initiative in creative thinking for technological entrepreneurship in Europe:
