Miguel Alemão, an alumnus of Católica Lisbon, graduated in 2015, with experience in sales and marketing. In his spare time, he likes to travel, play tennis and listen to and play music.
How did the idea come about?
Inspired by the lack of fun socks on offer in our country in 2017, and combining this with the great growth in the tourism sector, Miguel Alemão founded Chulé with the aim of creating a brand of fun socks that would be a national reference, as well as being the perfect gift to give when visiting our country.

What is Chulé?
Chulé is color and fun, 100% original socks that align with the values of environmental and social sustainability. They are socks that stand out for their designs focused on Portugal, featuring models such as Pastel de Natal, Calçada Portuguesa or Bacalhau. The brand's values are portugality and sustainability, bringing original designs linked to our country, with a commitment to 100% production in Portugal and using sustainable materials in the manufacture of socks and packaging (certified organic cotton). We see sustainability as a key pillar for our differentiation, and we act in the environmental and social field, with different partnerships that we have been developing and we are proud to donate more than 1% of our annual revenues to social and environmental causes. Our target audience is young, urban people with an active lifestyle who are looking for an accessory that gives them personality. We have our own online channel, www.chule.pt, and we sell in more than 50 retail stores all over the country. In addition, we have established partnerships with major national brands, such as TAP, the FPF or the three biggest soccer clubs, having specific collections with each partner and having the products on sale on their channels.
