Blockchain, Web3, and Tokenization: From Technology to Business Strategy

The “Blockchain, Web3, and Tokenization” program is a collaborative initiative between CATÓLICA-LISBON and TÉCNICO+, aimed at providing a comprehensive, in-depth, and, above all, practical understanding of blockchain concepts, smart contracts, fungible tokens (cryptocurrencies), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), asset tokenization, and the broader Web3 ecosystem.

Investment and interest in Web3 are rapidly increasing. According to a Deloitte study involving more than 1,000 companies across 12 countries, Web3 is a critical priority for 53% of these companies, ranking among their top five strategic priorities. Furthermore, over 40% plan to invest at least USD 5 million. However, 28% identify a lack of internal understanding and skills as a barrier to even greater investment.

The program is divided into two parts, reflecting the expertise of each institution. The first part, taught by TÉCNICO+, introduces and explores the detailed technical components of this technology. The second part, delivered by CATÓLICA-LISBON, addresses use cases, current and future regulations, and how to design business strategies with the potential to decisively transform the competitive landscape across multiple sectors.
