CATÓLICA-LISBON offers a new course on companies restructuring, in such a difficult financial situation as the current one, in order to meet the need to recover companies in financial difficulties.
The adoption of a single currency allowed, for a while, to substantially lower interest rates, which fuelled the explosive credit growth and, by this means, artificially sustained the domestic demand. With the assistance program (Troika), there has been a hard reduction of consumption and income through higher taxes and a brutal credit restriction on private companies.
