Francisco Torres’ broader area of research and teaching is European Political Economy (EPE). He has been EPE Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics (5 academic years, 2014-19) and a PEFM Associate at St Antony’s College, Oxford University (2012-19). He holds a Ph.D. in European Political Economy – European Studies (Católica, Lisbon), an MSc in Economics (Nova, Lisbon) and a 5-year degree also in Economics (Católica, Lisbon). Furthermore, he studied Economics at the EUI in Florence (PhD programme, 1986-89), having become the 1st Robert Schuman Fellow of the European Commission at CEPS in Brussels thereafter, and returning later on as a Visiting Fellow at the RSCAS/EUI, and holds an MA in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins University, SAIS. He has also held a 1-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Oxford.
