Joaquim Goes distinguished with the Career Award 2014

For the 9th consecutive year, CATÓLICA-LISBON distinguished a former student for his/her exceptional professional performance through the Career Award. 

The panel chaired by Manuela Ferreira Leite and comprising Artur Santos Silva, Francisco Pinto Balsemão, Isabel Mota and Manuel Ferreira De Oliveira distinguished Joaquim Goes for his exceptional professional career in Management. 

The Career Award 2014 was presented by Alexandre Relvas, former student and Logoplaste’s CEO, and the award was handed over by the Rector of CATÓLICA-LISBON, Professor Maria da Glória Garcia.

Joaquim Goes graduated in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing and Finance at CATÓLICA-LISBON and started his career at Roland Berger & Partners as a consultant. He continued his professional path in companies such as BES and Cimpor. In Joaquim Goes’s own words, the undergraduate program at CATÓLICA-LISBON was a key element in his professional development, allowing him not only to acquire a broad technical and management skills, but also to enhance his values ​​and develop a set of ethical concerns.

The Career Award 2014 ceremony began with the usual welcome session provided by the Dean of CATÓLICA-LISBON, Francisco Veloso. The welcome session was followed by the speech on "A Shock of PI’s Entrepreneurship" given by António Murta, the guest speaker. Joaquim Goes was then presented as the Career Award 2014 winner. The ceremony ended with a cocktail in the lobby of the Cardeal Medeiros auditorium.
